Boliukh and Oliferchyk One Step Short of a Medal at the 2025 European Diving Championships: Details
Ukraine lost to third place by 7.53 points.
The Ukrainian duo of Kirill Boliukh and Stanislav Oliferchyk finished fourth in the 3m synchronized springboard event at the 2025 European Diving Championships. The competition took place May 24 in Antalya, Turkey.
On the first competition day of the European Championships, Ukraine won "gold" in the team event. Later in the championship, junior world champions Kseniia Bochek and Diana Karnafel also made their debut.
How the National Team Fared in the 2025 European Diving Championships' 3m Synchronized Springboard Event
- Boliukh and Oliferchyk opened with a basic back dive with a 2.0 degree of difficulty. Judges' scores ranged from 8.0 to 8.5, bringing the duo 51 points. That was enough to put them in provisional first place.
- In the second round, the pair scored 40.80 points. After that, the Ukrainians dropped to fourth place, trailing leaders Germany by 4.80 points.
- Judges scored the third dive higher, helping Boliukh and Oliferchyk climb to third place with 71.4 points. After the fourth dive, the Ukrainians held onto third place, narrowing the gap to the second-place duo.
- After the most difficult dive of their program (3.8 degree of difficulty), the pair dropped to fourth place with a provisional score of 68.4 points. On their final dive, the Ukrainian divers narrowed the gap further, but couldn't climb back a spot.
As a result, the national team's haul remains at one gold medal, with which Ukraine sits in third place in the medal table at the 2025 European Diving Championships.
