Four Ukrainian Women Make the Top 20 in the Junior IBU Cup Sprint in Goms: Results
Two of the team's leaders sat out the race ahead of the mass start.
All five of Team Ukraine's women's biathlon representatives made the sprint's scoring zone at the Junior IBU Cup stage in Goms, Switzerland. It happened following the girls' second race, held Saturday, December 13. Ukraine was represented by Kseniia Prykhodko, Polina Putsko, Alina Khmil, Viktoriia Khvostenko, and Iryna Shevchenko. That said, Tetiana Tarasiuk and Valeriia Sheihas, who posted the best results among the Ukrainians in the first sprint, didn't start. At that race, Tetiana shared silver with a French competitor, and Valeriia made the top 10.
Earlier still, among the men, following two races, Taras Tarasiuk stood out — making the flower ceremony twice without a single miss at any firing range.
