How the Ukraine-Senegal Futsal Match Went at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games

  • Ukraine went into their match against the hosts with five points from two games, while Senegal had three. Venezuela led the group, having won two of their three matches. That meant the Ukrainian and Senegalese teams were fighting for one place in the play-offs.
  • Oleksandr Zolotukhin's side were already 4:1 ahead in the first half, even though the hosts outshot them in shots on goal — 21 to 15.
  • In the second half the futsal players scored four more goals — one for Senegal and three for Ukraine. Ukraine thus won the match 7:2 and advanced to the tournament's semi-finals.

The blue-and-yellows' next opponents will be Italy's national team. The semi-final takes place on November 8 at 17:30 Kyiv time.
