Team Ukraine Wraps Up the 2025 European Junior Swimming Championships: Results
The national team's haul stands at one medal.
Team Ukraine won one medal at the 2025 European Junior Swimming Championships. Silver at the continental championship, held July 1-6 in Šamorín, Slovakia, was claimed by Nikita Sheremet, in the 50m freestyle.
As a result, the national team finished 16th in the medal table.
How the Ukrainians Performed in the YEC 2025 Swimming Finals
- Ukraine's only medal, won on the fourth day of competition, went to Nikita Sheremet — who finished second with a time of 22.17 seconds in the 50m freestyle. Gold, by a margin of 0.03 seconds, went to Lithuania's Tajus Juska (22.14).
- Anton Denysenko made the 400m individual medley final, finishing sixth with a time of 4:23.31. First place went to Robert-Andrei Badea, who won by a margin of 5.09 seconds.
- Two Ukrainian women made it through qualifying in the 200m butterfly. But in the final, Sofiia Dzhura finished fifth with a time of 2:12, and Anastasiia Mykhalevych finished sixth, trailing Sofiia by 0.28 seconds. First place went to Belgium's Sara Dumont, with a time of 2:09.
Team Great Britain topped the medal table at the 2025 European Junior Swimming Championships, winning 18 medals, eight of them gold. Italy finished second with 14 medals, and Spain rounded out the top three with 13.
