Kseniia Bailo and Sofiia Lyskun Bring Ukraine Its First Silver at the 2025 European Diving Championships: Results
Germany has lost its chance to catch up with Ukraine in the medal table.
Team Ukraine has wrapped up its synchronized diving events at the 2025 European Diving Championships. The competition ran through the final week in Antalya, Turkey.
The last duo to compete at the 2025 European Diving Championships were the women — Sofiia Lyskun and Kseniia Bailo competed in the 10m platform event, winning silver.
Earlier in the 2025 European Championships, Ukraine had already won five gold medals at once. First, the mixed team won gold in the team event, then the Ukrainians won three gold medals in a row, and finally, Oleksii Sereda and Mark Hrytsenko added one more top medal to the tally.
How Bailo and Lyskun Performed in the Final Event of the 2025 European Diving Championships
- In total, four pairs competed in the 10m platform final — Romania, Spain, Germany, and Ukraine.
- Sofiia and Kseniia's program consisted of five dives — after the first two, in particular, the Ukrainians were tied with the Spanish pair for first place.
- On their third dive, the Ukrainian duo took the lead, opening an eight-point advantage. But on the next dive, Bailo and Lyskun slipped back to second place after overrotating their entry into the water.
- In the decisive final round, the Ukrainians scored 64.80 points, but couldn't overtake the Spanish pair.
As a result, Ukraine held onto first place in the overall medal table at the 2025 European Diving Championships, and Germany has now lost its chance to overtake the lead — the national team wins on gold medal count.
