Melovin, Ziferblat, The Hardkiss and Pyriatyn: What We Know about the Music in the New S.T.A.L.K.E.R Game
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Features Hits by Ukrainian Artists
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which became available to play on November 20, topped the weekly ranking of the gaming service Steam. In terms of revenue, GSC Game World's game has outsold the likes of Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds.
According to feedback from gamers, this happened not only thanks to the high-quality graphics and gameplay, but also to the unique musical score. Players also noted the chronological sequence of the songs — as multifaceted as their genre range.
Anastymoza, Melovin, Pyriatyn, DK Enerhetyk, Ziferblat, The Hardkiss, Mykola Mozghovyi, Gorim!, the band Dno and Mukha Mukhych, Anatolii Matviichuk — these are just some of the artists and bands whose songs are featured in the game. In fact, the game covers virtually the entire musical history of Ukraine.
As 18-year-old player Maksym told DeTalks, the music adds a special atmosphere to the game.
"What's cool is that each song isn't just playing in the background — it's literally woven into the game. Sometimes the game's character sings it, sometimes they turn it on the radio, and sometimes you hear it somewhere else. I haven't played that far yet, but I've already heard some of the hits. I know many of them, and I discovered many others right here. I've added some of them to my player".
All the songs featured in "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." can really be listened to in dedicated playlists: on YouTube and Spotify.
