NOC Announces Ukraine's Squad for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games: Meet the Team and Its Leaders

An overview of Ukraine's official delegation for the Games in Dakar.

The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine has approved the squad for the Summer Youth Olympic Games, which will take place from October 31 to November 13 in Senegal. The NOC announced this on its website.

Dakar 2026 — the first Olympic competition on the African continent. The Games will bring together three cities — Dakar, Diamniadio and Saly — with about 2,700 athletes from 207 countries.

Ukraine will be represented by 38 athletes in 14 of the 35 sports: 11 boys and 27 girls. The delegation also includes 22 coaches and specialists, 14 staff members and three referees.

Youth Olympic Games: Ukraine's Past Results

  • Across the three previous Summer Youth Olympic Games, Ukrainian athletes won 87 medals — 26 gold, 26 silver and 35 bronze.
  • At the previous Games in Buenos Aires (2018), Ukraine won 18 medals. That's five gold, seven silver and six bronze. That year, the Ukrainian squad was represented by a delegation of 36 athletes.
