Sofiia Lyskun Finishes in the Top 5 at the 2025 European Diving Championships: Day Three Recap
Ukraine's third day at Euro 2025 passed without any medals.
Team Ukraine has wrapped up the third competition day at the 2025 European Diving Championships. Sofiia Lyskun, the last Ukrainian woman to compete in the 10m platform event, finished fifth. Earlier, Kirill Boliukh and Stanislav Oliferchyk, in the 3m synchronized springboard event, finished just short of the podium.
On the first day, meanwhile, the mixed Ukrainian team won gold, which helped the national team climb to third place in the continental championship's medal table.
How Sofiia Lyskun Performed in the Individual Event at the 2025 European Diving Championships
- Sofiia Lyskun opened the final with a back dive with two and a half somersaults and one and a half twists (3.2 degree of difficulty), earning the Ukrainian 62.4 points. After the first round, she was in fourth place.
- Her second dive proved less successful, but Sofiia managed to hold onto fourth place. In the third round, she performed a back dive with two and a half somersaults, scoring 52.2 points. That cost her two spots — Lyskun dropped to sixth place.
- Her fourth dive turned out to be the best of her program — 63 points — which let Lyskun climb back into the top five.
- Sofiia closed out her program with a forward dive with three and a half somersaults, scoring 55.5 points. Her total score of 281.1 secured her fifth place.
Despite going without a medal on the third competition day, Ukraine remains in the top 3 of the overall championship standings, trailing Italy and Germany.
