The Ukrainian shot the race clean for the second time.

The first stage of the 2025/26 Junior IBU Cup is underway in Goms, Switzerland. The season's third race was the men's 10 km sprint, held December 13. Ukraine was represented by Ivan Steblyna, Dmytro Kriukov, Oleksandr Bilanenko, Taras Tarasiuk, Kyrylo Kulchytskyi, Kostiantyn Martseniuk, and Bohdan Bohach.

In the stage's first sprint, Ukraine's Taras Tarasiuk made the flower ceremony. In the junior women's race, Tetiana Tarasiuk shared second place with France's Lou-Anne Dupont Baillet-Bas.

How the 2025/26 Season's Second Junior Men's Sprint Went for Team Ukraine

  • Dmytro Kriukov and Ivan Steblyna were the first Ukrainians to start. But while Ivan missed just once, at standing, Dmytro racked up five misses.
  • Oleksandr Bilanenko, who started under bib 68, also missed twice at the prone stage but shot the second firing stage without error, finishing in the top 20.
  • One miss each at the range came from Kyrylo Kulchynskyi, Kostiantyn Martseniuk, and Bohdan Bohach each missed once at the range, but their slower skiing kept them out of the top positions — they finished 29th, 47th, and 62nd, respectively.
  • Taras Tarasiuk was again the best-placed Ukrainian — shooting both stages clean, he finished fifth, trailing the leader by 35.2 seconds. This marked Taras's second straight flower ceremony at the Junior IBU Cup.
