Every Team Ukraine biathlete finished in the top 20.

Tetiana Tarasiuk won her second individual medal of the 2025/26 Junior IBU Cup season — bronze in the sprint at the third stage in Madona, Latvia. On top of that, every Ukrainian representative finished the race in the top 20.

Team Ukraine's junior women were represented by Tetiana Tarasiuk, Alina Khmil, Iryna Shevchenko, Valeriia Sheihas, Kseniia Prykhodko, Polina Putsko, and Viktoriia Khvostenko.

Earlier, following the first race of the third Junior IBU Cup stage, three Ukrainians made the top 40, and Taras Tarasiuk posted the 15th-best result.

How the Girls' Sprint Went at the Third Junior IBU Cup Stage of 2025/26

  • Alina Khmil was the first Ukrainian to start, missing once at the first firing range and twice at standing. The Ukrainian finished 11th, trailing teammate Kseniia Prykhodko by 4.2 seconds.
  • Iryna Shevchenko started the sprint second among the Ukrainians. With one miss at standing, the biathlete finished the race 13th. Tetiana Tarasiuk shot clean at both stages, finishing third. The Ukrainian trailed the leader by 49.3 seconds.
  • Valeriia Sheihas shot clean at the prone stage but missed three times at standing. Valeriia finished last among the Ukrainians.
  • Polina Putsko shot both stages without a single miss, finishing seventh. Her teammate Viktoriia Khvostenko finished right behind her, with one miss at the prone stage.
