Ukraine Finishes First in the Medal Table at the 2025 Junior European Diving Championships: Standings
The national team earned six gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.
Team Ukraine's diving squad finished first in the medal table at the 2025 Junior European Championships, held June 23-29 in Athens. The national team's haul stands at 12 medals.
How the Ukrainians Performed at the 2025 Junior European Diving Championships
- Ukraine won three medals at once on the second competition day. Yelyzaveta Diadiuk won silver at the continental championship in the girls' 3m springboard event, while Nazarii Kononenko and Valerii Malieiev won Ukraine's first gold of the tournament in synchronized diving. Later, Alisa Meshkova and Sofiia Vystavkina finished third in synchronized platform diving.
- On the third day of the championships, Kyrylo Azarov won gold in the 1m springboard event for Group A athletes (ages 16-18).
- On the fourth day, in the girls' 1m springboard event, Yelyzaveta Diadiuk won. Nazarii Kononenko also won gold in platform diving, and Diana Karnafel took bronze in the 1m springboard on the fifth competition day.
- On the sixth day, Veronika Andrashchuk finished third in platform diving. Meanwhile, two Ukrainians made the top 3 in 3m springboard at once: Nazarii Kononenko won gold, and Dmytro Stepanov took silver. Kseniia Bochek and Diana Karnafel also finished second in synchronized 3m springboard.
- On the final competition day, Diana Karnafel took gold for Ukraine in the 3m springboard. As a result, Ukraine finished first in the overall team standings at the 2025 Junior European Diving Championships, with 12 medals. The national team also won the Cup for best team of the championship.

Part of Ukraine's junior national team will now prepare for the 2025 World Aquatics Championships, which will take place July 11 – August 3 in Singapore.
