Ukraine Wrapped Up the World Junior Diving Championships with Two Medals: Medal Table

The national team's haul: silver and bronze.

Team Ukraine's diving squad wrapped up its campaign at the Junior World Championships, held August 21–28 in Rijeka, Croatia. By the end of the competition, the 'yellow-and-blues' had won two medals: silver and bronze.

Earlier, in June, the national team made the top three squads at the Junior Europeans. At that event, the Ukrainians won 14 medals total, including three golds.

Who Brought Ukraine Medals at the 2026 Junior World Diving Championships

• Ukraine entered 12 athletes at this year's championship, five of whom had already won medals at the previous World Championships in Rio de Janeiro.

• Back in 2024, Mark Hrytsenko and Kseniia Bochek became champions, Valerii Malieiev won silver, and Sofiia Vystavkina, Dmytro Stepanov, and Diana Shevchenko took bronze.

• On Independence Day, Kseniia Bochek won Ukraine's first medal at the 2026 Junior World Championships. In the 3-meter springboard final, the athlete scored 409.70 points, trailing second place by just 0.25 points.

• Another medal came three days later, from Mark Hrytsenko — this time on the platform. The Ukrainian competed in Group A (ages 16-18) and scored 583.90 points, one of his best results of the season.

• Ukrainians came within a step of the podium three times. Fourth-place finishes went to Yelyzaveta Diadiuk (1m springboard, Group A), Yelyzaveta Diadiuk and Kseniia Bochek (3m springboard, synchronized), and Nazarii Kononenko (1m springboard, Group B).
