Ukrainians Kirill Boliukh and Stanislav Oliferchyk Finish in the Top 5 at the Diving World Cup

Ukrainian divers Kirill Boliukh and Stanislav Oliferchyk performed as a duo internationally for the first time.

This happened during the first stage of the 2025 Diving World Cup season — in the 3m synchronized springboard event. The competition took place April 6 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Kirill Boliukh had previously competed as a duo with Oleksii Sereda, the youngest-ever European diving champion, who in Mexico, paired with Mark Hrytsenko, also finished fifth in the 10m synchronized event.

How the 3m Springboard Diving Final Went at the World Cup in Mexico

• Besides the Ukrainians, eleven other pairs of divers competed in the final. Each duo performed six dives of varying difficulty.

• The Ukrainian duo's first dive earned them 46.80 points, putting Kirill and Stanislav in seventh place. Their second dive moved Boliukh and Oliferchyk up two spots — to provisional fifth place.

• After an attempt with a 3.4 degree of difficulty, for which the 'blue-and-yellows' scored 70.38 points, Kirill and Stanislav dropped to sixth place, where they remained after their fourth dive as well.

• The Ukrainians posted their best result on their fifth dive (3.8 degree of difficulty), for which judges awarded 78.66 points. This let the duo climb back to fifth place.
• Thanks to their final dive, which brought 71.40 points, Kirill Boliukh and Stanislav Oliferchyk finished fifth, trailing the winners, Mexico's representatives, by 48.03 points.
