Ukraine's U21 national football team played its first match at the Euro 2025 final tournament. The national team landed in Group D alongside Finland, Denmark, and the Netherlands. The 'yellow-and-blues' played their first match, in particular, against Denmark's national team. The game ended 2:3 in the opponents' favor.
The Ukrainians took the lead twice, thanks to goals from Nazar Voloshyn and Maksym Brahuru, but conceded the decisive goal in the 87th minute.

- In the 22nd minute, midfielder Nazar Voloshyn scored his debut goal for Team Ukraine at Euro 2025, finishing off a cross from the right flank at the far post. The first half ended 1:0.
- After the break, Denmark's players began pressing and creating chances near the Ukrainian goal. In the 62nd minute, Denmark equalized through midfielder Clement Bischoff.
- Maksym Brahuru, assisted by Oleh Ocheretko, scored Ukraine's second goal in the 78th minute, but just three minutes later, the Danes equalized again. Forward William Vik got on the scoresheet.
- In the 87th minute, Denmark's team took the lead after a VAR review — the goal, initially disallowed for offside, was awarded. Forward William Osula scored past the Ukrainian goalkeeper. As a result, Denmark's team won the first match of Euro 2025.
