Team Ukraine U18 Earns Three More Points in Division IA at the 2025 Junior World Hockey Championship: Standings
This marks the Ukrainian team's second convincing win of the tournament.
Ukraine's junior national hockey team beat Austria in the third round of the U18 World Championship, Division IA. The match took place April 21 in Székesfehérvár, Hungary.
The match against the Austrians marked the third for Oleksandr Bobkin's squad on the path to the world championship's 'elite' division. In the tournament's first round, the 'yellow-and-blues' won convincingly, beating Team Hungary (7:1), and in the second, lost to Denmark, 1:5.
To reach the championship's elite league, the national team needs to win Division IA. In 2024, the Ukrainians came close to that result, but ultimately lost to Team Germany.
